We're back in the local papers again, this time in the Inverurie, Ellon and Turriff Advertiser (30/07/10).
We've been busy again, promoting TradesAdvisor to the local communities in Deeside and in Turriff.
So we're knackered! After 3 days on the road promoting TradesAdvisor, we are really encouraged by the reception we have received, both in Banchory and in Turriff.
We were at Banchory on Saturday 31st July 2010. The day started off very warm and the sun was shining! We were there bright and early at 8am. The crowds started around 10am. We were offering free face-painting for the kids and balloons for the adults!
We were also running a raffle to win a signed AFC football, and a competition to guess how many balloons were in the Ta! vehicle - all proceeds going to Forget-Me-Not Charity.
Interest in TradesAdvisor from local residents was immense and we were very encouraged by the number of leaflets that were picked up.
The afternoon turned a wee bit wet, with pretty much persistent rain coming down, but that did not dampen our spirits (well not much!). The show remained busy and in actual fact, we are sure it got busier.
We even had promotion by bicycle! Barry atwww.blastads.co.uk (new advertising service for Aberdeen) was out on one of their bikes cycling round Banchory. He was known as the 'boy on the bike' in the local pub by 10pm that night!
Sunday and Monday was spent in Turriff at the Turriff Show... again, very worthwhile. The community feel of this event was incredible. Again, the interest in TradesAdvisor was fantastic.
We monitored hits on the site from Friday through to Monday and saw a doubling of the hits day on day, which was a fantastic testimonial of what a success the three days were.
We'll be posting images of both events later this week. We'll keep you posted!
Prizes up for grabs at Banchory and Turriff Shows!
